Since I've been a part of the police force, I've gotten to see just how much work people have to do, that a lot of people don't even know about. There are a lot of procedures, and there's always more work to be done.

I want to help them out however I can. I went to the library and found that some places have laws about performing a "Citizen's arrest." Through this, I think a lot of people who aren't police trained, but still want to help make things safer, could help out. If we set up patrols, or even set up a headquarters where people could come if they need help, that would help lighten the load for the police. We could even do things like train self-defense, and I could help people with magic a little, just like Nanoha-mama used to.

I wouldn't be able to pay anybody, but... maybe there are other people like me, who are too young to be official police members, who could help out. We don't need money to live here anyway, so that's not a problem.

Would anybody be interested?

So! What does this mean?

This means that we will very soon have a new applications thread.

There's nothing different about it or the applications system at all. There's just a shiny, empty, new thread forthcoming. So if you have the old thread bookmarked, you'll want to change your bookmarks when the new thread is made.

You see, sooner or later, you start getting close to maxing out the number of pages and comments you can have in a post. And, so far as we could tell, we were getting close--!

The old (full) applications thread is very shortly going to be closed, locked, and set to private (but not deleted, in case the mods need to retrieve something from it).

→ But before we close up the old thread for good, we want to give you an opportunity to copy any applications you may have posted there if you want a record of them. Just a little ctrl + c → ctrl + v, just a little print scrn → MSPaint. However you roll. So hit up the old applications thread and snag your apps.

We'll be leaving the old applications thread open through Monday, November 16^th, 11:59pm EST so you can copy your applications.

Meanwhile, watch for the new thread ♥ It will be ready for the first next application week in December.

Whether it's tripping him with her dainty foot so you can catch up, shoving a bunch of parcels in his hands so he can't move, distracting him with some flirting while you sneak up on him, or whatever else we she can think of, she will help you get your husband! I am posting today to give those that might not have someone to chase or be chased by to find someone else who would be willing to do so. Here is the information on the Sadie Hawkins Day curse.

Ladies, put on your best running clothes. Gentlemen, lace up those sneakers. Any boy caught by a girl during this all out City chase is obligated to marry his captor and be her spouse for a day. This says nothing about who wears the pants in the relationship because it's absolutely a woman's prerogative to make him do the dishes in an apron...and only an apron. [Tools like grappling hooks, scooters, superpowers, or magic are allowed to capture a boy. For characters who don't fall in either male or female categories or characters who don't fit traditional gender traits (female but looks/acts like a boy, male but looks/acts like a girl), players are free to put them in either the captor or captured roles.]

Don't people get enough of war? Honestly, it's not that exciting or that glorious. Mostly it's just a lot of slogging through dirt and grime and people getting hurt or dying. Once I thought there was glory and honor in it, but now, I'm just glad to be living my peaceful life.

Okay, so we're into November. At the end of the month is my two year anniversary in the City. Two years...it seems like such a long time. But the truth is, two years isn't very long at all. I guess it's sort of alarming, how time passes. So many things have changed.

Not a hiatus.

Just a sort of slowatus. I'm not very well right now and feeling even worse about not keeping up with tags. I will get to them all, I just wanted to explain the delay and reasons why threads may be shortish for a bit. If I haven't got back to something in ages and you think I've forgotten, please message me and let me know!

Bet ya didn't expect me to be back so soon, I'm not! Chelle just asked me to throw this up for her. Short emergency full hiatus for her characters due to computer problems. That's Road [dreamsofnoah], Doll [freckleddoll], and Christopher [iknowmore]. o/

I've been struck by a fit of unexpected complete fail thanks to getting sick and being completely unable to muster the energy for anything much past work. Since I haven't been able to keep up with what's going on in poly, I think it's best for me to take a short hiatus until about the 25th of the month.

With luck I'll have my energy back within the week and nobody will even notice the difference; I'll still be around, and also free for pinging via AIM at Joie de Combat.

I might end the hiatus by taking Squall out of the City for a couple of days to let him pick up some Dissidia canon, but for the time being both he and Luck (favorsthebrave) are still around, just busy with work and brooding - Luck over Firo leaving the City, Squall because, well, it's what he does.

Rights for Squall go to Seifer and Rinoa, who is welcome to abuse him however she likes for Sadie Hawkins Day and I will at least be able to tag for that. Rights for Luck go to Ennis.

As a note.

I am extending my hiatus to the end of this month (I edited my comment on the hiatus post, but if this isn't okay, poke me, mods). However, I've re-evaluated my ability to handle characters here and I can only handle a couple. I'm keeping the ones I've been here with the longest.

So, I'm dropping the other two. That means Vincent and Harry are staying at home permanently. I know I picked Vincent back up again briefly, but I don't think I can devote the necessary energy to him here.

Most here seem to agree that war is a terrible thing, but I wonder about the things that make up war, the ones some have waiting at home and the ones that are already over.

For instance, for those fighting wars in their own worlds, why do you fight?
